The Issues:
Flawed ideas, methods, and implementations of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives have proliferated within organizations and communities unchecked by evidence-based research, reason, or professional oversight, becoming deeply ingrained and now posing a systemic threat to our national psyche. These problematic approaches have deviated from the initial goals of this type of unifying work, fostering a divisive atmosphere that alienates key contributors to its progress. This has harmed the open communication and collaboration that is needed among diverse perspectives, thereby diminishing social cohesion and creating fractures in understanding regarding this topic.
Our stance:
We take a critical view of numerous misguided practices in use today in the name of DEI. Of all the issues that may divide our America, DEI work should never be one of them. In their place we unwaveringly champion the authentic, overarching ideals of unity and fairness for which this work was originally intended, while actively fighting to address, rectify, and eliminate the detrimental distortions that have hindered its genuine impact.
